Mélanie has an Honours degree in English and French Law and a "Maîtrise" in European law as well as a Master's in Law from the School of Oriental and African Studies in London. She developed a real interest for authors’ rights and copyright during an internship at UK Music (representing the UK’s music industry). She subsequently worked and qualified as a solicitor in a commercial law firm in London. She then spent two and a half years in a Brussels-based intellectual property law firm working on international and European copyright issues in the audiovisual and music sectors before joining SAA in 2013.
She is fluent in English and French, speaks Spanish and has a basic command of Greek.
