SAA marks its 5th Anniversary at LUX Film Days’ Success

SAA marked its 5th anniversary as a proud partner of the sold out LUX Prize screening of Mediterranea in Brussels.

The LUX prize is a European Parliament initiative to cast an annual spotlight on films that go to the heart of European public debate.  Previous winners include Oscar winner Ida (Pawel Pawlikowski), The Broken Circle Breakdown (Felix van Groeningen) and Welcome (Philippe Lioret).  This year’s finalists are The Lesson (Kristina Grozeva and Petar Valchanov), Mustang (Deniz Gamze Ergüven) and Mediterranea (Jonas Carpignano).

The winner of the LUX Prize, chosen by Members of the European Parliament, will be announced on 24th November.

The SAA , which supports the values of the LUX Prize and European cinema, sponsored the reception after the screening to celebrate its 5th anniversary with its Brussels based partners.

You can watch the Q&A with Jonas Carpignano, the director of Mediterrenea, here.
