Dalibor Matanić

Dalibor Matanić is a Croatian screenwriter and director who graduated from the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb, Croatia. He is the author of internationally acclaimed films such as The High Sun, jury prize winner ot the Cannes Film Festival “Un Certain Regard“(2015), The Cashier wants to go to the seaside (2000), Fine dead girls (2002) and Kino Lika (2008). His first TV series about fallen journalism The Paper (2016 - 2020) was the first series from south-eastern Europe to have global Netflix distribution. His next TV series about fallen working class The Last Socialist Artefact (2021) won best series at Series Mania, International Panorama, among many international awards. Recently, Matanić has been working on a second season of the critically acclaimed European coproduction crime TV series The Silence (HBO Max).
