Jean-Marie Cavada, MEP (France, EPP) rapporteur for the non-legislative report of the European Parliament on the online distribution of audiovisual works, organised a workshop on 27 February to discuss the issues with a panel of stakeholders representing authors, performers, producers and broadcasters[1].
SAA submitted its response to the EC’s Green Paper on the Online Distribution of Audiovisual Works calling for the European Commission to support its proposal for a collectively managed unwaivable remuneration right for the online access to films.
The European Commission published its Green Paper on “Online Distribution of Audiovisual Works in the EU – opportunities and challenges towards a digital single market” on 13th July 2011.
