World IP Day – Authors’ Rights and Copyright

The 26th April is world intellectual property day. Authors’ rights and copyright are forms of intellectual property and are vital on two levels for screenwriters and directors. Firstly they are moral rights which protects the authors’ vision and the integrity of their work. Secondly they are essential to the remuneration of audiovisual authors.
