To celebrate the announcement of the five films nominated for the 2026 LUX Audience Award, the SAA partnered with the Federation of European Film Directors and the Federation of Screenwriters in Europe to invite Members of the European Parliament, authors, and our members to dine and socialise together at the European Parliament in Strasbourg.
Following the success of our first regional seminar in Belgrade (2023), AIPA, ZAPA and the SAA, in partnership with AZAS, are co-organising a second gathering. The focus is on empowering collective management organisations (CMOs) in Central and Eastern Europe so that screenwriters and directors can receive fair remuneration for the use of their works.

On 26-27 October, the SAA together with two of its members, AIPA in Slovenia and ZAPA in Poland, welcomed participants from 10 countries in Belgrade, Serbia to a Regional Seminar on Audiovisual Authors' Rights in Central and Eastern Europe.
